SJVN Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, has released a notification (Advt. No. 124/2025) for 87 vacancies of Workmen Trainees in various disciplines including Accounts Assistant, Assistant, Driver, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Welder, Storekeeper, and Surveyor.

📍 Selection Process

The selection process varies slightly depending on the post:

1. For Workmen Trainee (Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Welder, Storekeeper, Surveyor):

• Computer-Based Test (CBT) only.

• Candidates shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 for Document Verification.

• Final merit list will be based on CBT marks.

2. For Workmen Trainee (Assistant – Accounts, Assistant, Driver):

• Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Stage 2: Trade Test (qualifying in nature, no marks added in merit)

• Shortlisting for Trade Test & Document Verification in the ratio of 1:3.

• Final merit list prepared on the basis of CBT marks (subject to Trade Test qualification).

• Duration: 2 Hours

• Mode: Online (CBT)

• Total Questions: 100 (MCQs)

• Total Marks: 100

• Medium: English & Hindi

• Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, no negative marking

Question Distribution:

• Section I: 80 Questions – Relevant Discipline/Subject

• Section II: 20 Questions – Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, and General Awareness

• UR/EWS/Others: 50% (50 Marks)

• SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD: 40% (40 Marks)

• For technical trades: Based on CBT marks + Document Verification.

• For Assistant/Driver/Accounts Assistant: Based on CBT marks + Trade Test qualification.

• In case of a tie: Seniority by Date of Birth will be considered.
