Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking, has released its recruitment notification (Advt. No: HRAQ/REC-EX-B/2025-07, dated 26/08/2025) for multiple posts in Grade C, B, and A categories. The recruitment process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI) (for most posts)
For aspirants preparing for the CBT, here’s the subject-wise breakdown of questions:
General English – 15 Questions (Q1–Q15)
Reasoning Numerical – 14 Questions (Q16–Q30)
Numerical Aptitude – 10 Questions (Q31–Q40)
Subject Knowledge of Concerned Post – 60 Questions (Q41–Q100)

Vacancies announced across multiple disciplines – Engineering, Finance & Accounts, HR, IT, Legal, Geology, Public Affairs, Company Secretary, Confidential Secretary, Hindi Officer, etc.
Example: Senior Accounts Officer / Senior Internal Auditor (AC-07) – 05 posts (UR: 03, OBC: 01, SC: 01).
Educational Qualification
Post-specific essential qualifications such as B.Tech/B.E. (65%), M.Sc./M.Tech (60%), CA/CMA/CS membership, MBA (HR), LLB, etc.
For Finance posts like Senior Accounts Officer / Auditor – Associate Membership of ICAI/ICMAI is mandatory.
Selection Process
Phase-I: CBT (100 marks, 85% weightage)
UR/OBC/EWS: 50% qualifying marks.
SC/ST/PwBD: 40% qualifying marks.
Phase-II: Personal Interview (15 marks, 15% weightage).
Final merit list = CBT + PI (weighted score).
Other Key Highlights
Application Fee: ₹500 + taxes (Exempt for SC/ST/PwBD/EWS/Ex-Servicemen).
Pay Scale:
Grade C: ₹80,000 – ₹2,20,000
Grade B: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000
Grade A: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000
Emoluments (approx.):
Grade C – ₹1.5 lakh/month
Grade B – ₹1.2 lakh/month
Grade A – ₹90,000/month
Probation Period: 1 year.
Service Bond: Required for most Grade B posts, but NOT required for Senior Accounts Officer (AC-07) & Company Secretary (COS-18).
